The VICIS Foundation started from a realization that many schools and youth leagues lack access to the latest sports protective equipment. Football and other sports are incredibly important to the development of our young people. School-age athletes should be able to enjoy the benefits of sports participation without undue concern for their safety.

According to a recent study by the Sports and Fitness Industry Association (SFIA), total sports participation among kids dropped by 10% between 2009 and 2014.1 A major reason for this decrease is cost.2 Through grants from the VICIS Foundation, we hope to reverse this trend and encourage safe and healthy participation in sports.
